Bodega La Nave Rover is a family winery in Algaida, Mallorca, rooted in generations of Mallorcan winemaking tradition. The Oliver family has worked these lands since the 18th century, originally cultivating local Manto Negro grapes and producing wine in the old cellar of the town of Algaida.
In 2005, Javier and his family traveled to Australia to expand experiences and new knowledge. This time in the Antipodes gave him the perspective and courage to continue the legacy of his ancestors adding his personal stamp.
The modern Nave Rover story began in 2007, when Javier Oliver returned to Mallorca after spending time in Australia. Inspired by new ideas but deeply connected to his family’s heritage, he set out to revive the estate with a fresh vision: small-production wines made with character, authenticity, and respect for the land.
Upon his return from Australia in 2007, he grew Muscat grapes in the vineyard and produced his first wine, “Sweet Rover”, which continues to receive consistently high scores in prestigious wine guides.
In 2013, Javier, his wife Ana and his friends Sonja Khambatta and Thomas Pachmann made the decision to partner. From this alliance Nave Rover was born, cultivating Syrah and Mantonegro vines, whose fruits have continued to be bottled since 2018.

Today, Nave Rover brings together tradition and innovation. The bodega works with its own vineyards, organic practices, and solar energy, creating wines that reflect both the history of Algaida and the natural spirit of Mallorca. Each bottle is part of a continuing journey — from old family roots to a new generation of island wine.
At Nave Rover, we work without connection to the electrical grid. Our bodega is powered entirely by solar energy, using photovoltaic panels and high-performance batteries to support a cleaner, more independent way of making wine. We are the first winery in Spain to do this.
Sustainability also guides the way we care for our vineyards. We use carefully selected organic and environmentally responsible vineyard treatments to protect the quality of our grapes, preserve the land, and create wines with purity, character, and a true sense of place.
