The Human Touch
At the heart of the transformation of fruit into wine is Javier Oliver, whose family has been making wine since the 18th century on the Spanish island of Mallorca. As a little boy, Javier helped harvest the family grapes and even crawled inside the barrels to clean them. Simply put, winemaking is part of his DNA.
Manto Negro
Grape
The Oliver family originally grew Mante Negro grapes and produced wine in the cellar of the historic Casas del Pueblo, Algaida. Javier inherited the estate and ran it as a bed and breakfast with his wife Ana for 5 years and began creating his own wine.
